So I finished T’s Socks!! And they fit. He mentioned something about wearing them to work even. We will see. Anyway, here is a picture of the finished socks… they are on my feet, T is not a model.

Stats:
Yarn: Panda Cotton- Not a fan of knitting with this yarn, but the socks are so freakin’ soft. If they hadn’t been promised to T I would have kept them. So I am torn.
Pattern: ribbed socks
Verdict: The black was VERY hard to see, so it was mainly a knit during the day project. Which is fine but the combination of hard to see color and hard to knit yarn, made this an annoying project. T is lucky that I love him. heh
It feels great having those things off the needles. Now I can work on other things without the guilt.
After I finished the socks I pulled out the tank I made for the Princess. All that I had left on it to finish was attaching the dang straps. So I finished that.

Stats
Yarn: My handspun Dora the Explorer colorway from Spunky Eclectic
Pattern: Summerbreeze with a lot of mods.
Mods: Straight stitch skirt, knit straps, and a ruffle bottom.
Verdict: Love this top! The roving was so bright that I was afraid that I was going to hate the yarn. However, 2 plied made for a beautiful yarn and toned down the pink. Knitting it up just made it even better.
It was supposed to have the skirt lacey, but I decided to show off the yarn better I would need straight knitting. Then as I neared the end of the top I realized I still had a lot left, so I gave the bottom a bit of flair by doing a k2, m1 about an inch from the bottom.
The Princess seems to like it, don’t you think?

So with thoes two projects finished it frees up my knitting so that I can work on other things. Of course that means I decided to make things for Christmas this year instead of buying. Thankfully everything is small and quick knits (or crochet as in the case of the dishcloths). I think that the most involved thing I have going is a shawl (designing it, but once the pics are taken it will go to grandma) and the set of mitts for mom. Now that I have the proper yarn and needles for the mitts I will cast on soon. I just need to get more of this shawl done first.
Knittingly,
Dee

Panda yarn…that sounds so fun! I love pandas so I bet I’d love that. You are a knitting queen! I just learned to crochet (but it’s been about a month since I did it so I probably forgot). I should learn knitting.
